At Ponderosa Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to have remarkable rescue organizations throughout Colorado Springs, Black Forest, and Peyton. Each non-profit has an honorable mission to rescue animals in need, and we are honored to spotlight them. National Mill Dog Rescue

National Mill Dog Rescue was established with a mission to rescue discarded breeding dogs and to educate the public about the negative realities of commercial dog breeding. National Mill Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Peyton, Colorado. 

Wild Blue Cats

Wild Blue Cats is a local cat rescue in Colorado Springs dedicated to saving abandoned, abused, neglected, displaced, or surrendered cats and kittens. Wild Blue Cats is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Black Forest, Colorado.

Painted Paws for Veterans

Painted Paws for Veterans connects veterans and their families with canine companions from animal shelters and rescues. The organization focuses on the emotional well being of veterans through therapy visits, veteran retreats, and public education programs. Painted Paws for Veterans is a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Peyton, Colorado. 

Paws N' Hooves

Established in 1994, Paws N' Hooves, formerly known as the Black Forest Animal Sanctuary, is an animal rescue and rehab farm whose mission is to care for hundreds of horses, livestock, dogs, cats, and small animals. Paws N' Hooves is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Black Forest, Colorado.
